Welcome to KAP-SEIS: the network for Seismometers for Schools at Keele University.
From August 21, 2010 Ning will start charging for their services. Although educational use has been sponsored in the US, it has not been in the UK. I cannot justify paying for the service. Hence, the KAP-SEIS ning will cease at midnight August 20 (US Pacific Time).
However, this is far from the end of the KAP-SEIS project. We propose to hold a CPD training day for teachers in November 2010 in preparation for a students' seismology conference here at Keele in 2011. I will send an e-mail when plans have been confirmed.
In the meantime, if you any questions about the seismometers or seismology please do not hesitate to get in touch via e-mail (i.g.stimpson@esci.keele.ac.uk) or phone (01782 733182).
I will blog about any significant earthquakes over at my blog -

Cheers,
